As a 9 year old boy from Uran (Bokadvira), a coastal village near Mumbai, Prashant was attracted to Kabaddi, the local sport of his village and excelled in many tournaments with his skill and athleticism. He represented the Raigad District in 2005. His coaches spotted a natural runner in him and encouraged him to take up running marathons. There was no turning back after that, as he won race after race, and was lauded as the ‘Uran Express’. A proud Indian, Prashant joined the Indian Navy in 2006 and that opened the doors of international sport for him. He became a globe-trotting athlete and collected 7 international medals, 22 national medals and more than 1400 trophies along the way. A diploma holder in Body Science and coaching, he took up coaching full-time after his retirement from Indian navy, and has so far created hundreds of meritorious athletes in various disciplines. Transforming the health of at least 10 lac Indians is his dream and he is working at it in as focused a manner as he carried himself in on the tracks in his prime.

Prashant has won 23 years (1999-2022) of experience as athlete and 16 (1999-2022) years experience of coaching. He has won 07 International Medal for India in long distance running. Prashant started his athletics career in the year 1999 and in the short span of time he crossed district level & state level in 2005 he won National Medal in 10000 mtrs. run at Pune.
